I like pre its purdy as for istan i hope it usplodes its the worst place in all of guild wars it can take weeks to get a character through there first time if you're no hardcore player and its horrible and the grind is awful they should just delete it and make all NF characters start at yohlon haven lv 18 r7 sunspear with 10k or so.

I think that Pre-Searing is THE place. It gives me good memories, it has excellent scenes and music. And as someone before noted, there are unagressive foes. Why not make more unagressive foes, since it is boring to whack every single foe in the area if it really is not necessary.

pre-searing looks the best imo, but shing jea is so nice to just level up and move on.

I thought Pre was the best when I didn't have two end-game characters, so saving a couple-hundred gold on crappy skills was good.

Now it's just drawn out, tedious and irritating. Shing Jea FTW.

NO love for istan haha
well mostly becuase Varesh is a backstabbing evil **** to the istani people! Had such an army feel that game
my favourite has to be pre due to my first game and experiences although shing jea is also nice because it was a whole new feel

I have to go with Shing Jea.

Pre-Searring was nice first time seeing it, but it felt too much like a sterotypical and childish fairy tale. It was too sunny and bright, and though where were some nicer places, it just wasn't enough.

Istan was a desert, like the rest of Nightfall.

Shing Jea has a real mystic feeling, without looking too fairy tale, so it had more of a believable feel to it than Pre-sear had. And where Pre has too sunny, Shing Jea is light, but not overdone, there's still a windy feel to it.

Istan is barely a "starting area". It plops you in the world in no time at all.

Shing Jea is neat.

Pre-Searing definitely gives me nostalgic feelings. I love the music there. However, I enjoyed the larger storage, ability to go to Guild Hall, and more content featured in Shing Jea.

Istan was ok, but the scenery didn't seem as diverse as that of Shing Jea's. By this time there were already so many titles in the game that you had to start grinding for Sunspear rank right away - that is what I most dislike about Istan. I do not like grinding so I choose not to do it. Most of my Prophecies characters were remade in Shing Jea once Factions came out. I managed to get a Paragon out of Istan but I certainly wouldn't do that again!

Pre-searing tops any area in the game.
Next is shing jea.
Dead last is Istan

When I first got Factions I had made four characters and they were all Prophecies characters. I deleted every single one except my mesmer and restarted them in Shing Jea. Don't get me wrong, I love Pre-Searing, AND Kaineng is just awful, but Shing Jea is insanely awesome.

Liked Pre when I first made my char, simply because you could progress at your own leasure.
Shing Jea is better only in the fact that you can progress through the starting area a little bit faster.
Istan...oh where do I begin. That place fails.
hard. The NEED to gain a certain rank in order to progress sucked. The NEED to collect 2 measly termite legs off of enemies that NEVER dropped them sucked. The whole bounty thing kind of meshed into EotN ok. All in all, Istan can, as someone on the first page said, "Burn in a fiery pit, with Koss the man who can't seem to win over a girl through the whole freaking game, smack dab right in the middle.
